Where fandoms and verse collide. My criteria for a good crossover fic is a bit different than fanfiction set in one fandom. Almost every crossover fic means tweaking one fandom or the other to include characters from one fandom into the other fandom. Whether it's setting characters from Law & Order into the CSI: New York world or setting Buffy into Anita Blake's world, the verse is slightly tweaked for the crossover to work. Sometimes it's a major tweaking that takes place, and other times it's relatively minor. What I am more concerned with is whether the major character(s) that the author is focusing on seems to fit into the different world that the author's put them in. Generally with some crossovers, the characters might be slightly out of character due to the different enviroment, what I look for more is whether or not the character still remains true to themselves in a vastly different setting.
No recommendations as of yet, but if you would like to recommend a crossover fanfic, please go here to find out how to do so.
